	DRIVE TO IJEN
	Depart from your hotel in Kuta at 08.00, drive West through Bali Barat National Park , Arrival at gilimanuk harbour. Wait for the ferry ( 15 minutes in normal traffic ). It should take 30 - 60 minutes to get to Ketapang harbour. Set your watch 1 hour back and ... *welcome to Java !* Heading North-West, we will have lunch at a local restaurant in Banyuwangi. Continue to Ijen, check in at Arabica house, have some real java coffee, see coffee plantation, coffee making and une petite promenade through the village of Sempol .

	A CLIMB TO IJEN
	Breakfast at 05.00, drive to the starting point Paltuding and climb to the top of Ijen and see the spectacular scenery of the crater. The climb to the top is easy as the sulfur collectors normally carry some sulfur weighing 50 up to 105 kgs! And most of them do that twice a day. When you are on top, you will be very much tempted to go down to the crater itself. Your guide will decide whether it is safe to go down and will give you a short brief how to breath with the mask in case the wind blows this very toxic gas to your face! Go back to the starting point, drive North to the direction of Bromo. Check in at the hotel, After dinner it is advisable to go to sleep early to catch the 04.00 Jeep to Mount Penanjakan .

SUNRISE AT MOUNT PENANJAKAN , WITNESSING THE BREATH-TAKING VIEW OF MOUNT BROMO AND THE SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS AND A SORT WALK AROUND THE RIM OF THE CRATER

Get up at 3.30. Your experienced 4 wheel jeep driver will take you to Mount Penanjakan through a bumpy and steepy road. Near the parking lot, you had better choose a strategic place to see the sunrise, the place is normally packed with tourists in dry season. It is one of the most spectacular sceneries in Indonesia !

Driving back to Mount Bromo , you may tell the driver to stop at a convenient place to take more pictures.

Walk toward the foot of the volcano (700m), a lot of horse masters will offer you to ride on their horses. It is fun, unless you feel sorry for those little animals carrying tourist everyday!

It is time to 'climb' the volcano through the " stair to heaven ". When you are at the top (at the rim of the crater), make sure you are not too close to the smoke as if may cause dizziness. It can be dangerous in windy weather.

Back to the hotel, have a nice breakfast at the restaurant. Check out from hotel and proceed to the hidden paradise Madakaripura waterfall. You may continue to your next destination or drive back to Bali . End of the trip.
